PAMPORE: A motorcyclist and a pillion rider from Surankote injured after their two-wheeler rammed into a gas tanker on the old Srinagar-Jammu highway at Pampore area on Sunday.
The accident took place Sunday afternoon when the motorcycle bearing Registration number JK12C-2312 rammed a gas tanker near HPCL Galander area of Pampore.
A motorcyclist identified as Jahangir Ahmad son Ghulam Hassan resident of Surankote Poonch was seriously injured while his pillion rider identified as Abdul Razaq son Mohammad Shafiq resident of Surankote received minor injuries in the mishap, SHO Pampore Adil Ashraf told Kashmir Reader.
Police and local people immediately took them to SDH Pampore for treatment, from where one of the injured motorcyclist Jahangir Ahmad was referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
In this connection Police Pampore has registered a case FIR number under section 102, 297, 337 and 427 IPC at police station Pampore, he said.
