Six injured in Awantipora road mishap

AWANTIPORA: Six persons were injured in a road accident on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway near Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
Station House Officer Mohammad Younis Khan told Kashmir Reader that five passengers were injured in a collision between two vehicles bearing registration number JK13F-0553 driven by Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat of Noorpora and another vehicle bearing registration number DLICA-0696 driven by Syed Tajamul Hussain of Posh Colony Budgam, resulting in injuries to six persons.
The accident took place on highway at Nambal Awantipora.
The injured person have been identified as Maqsooda wife Quadir of Noorpora, Nuzhat wife of Zubair Ahmad of Tangmarg, Shahnaza wife of Hilal Ahmad Bhat of Noorpora, Naseema wife of Parvaiz Ahmad of Noorpora, Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi of Noorpora and Syed Tajamul Hussain of Posh Colony Budgam.
All the injured persons have been shifted to PHC Awantipora for treatment where from four injured persons referred to Srinagar hospital for advance treatment, SHO said.
A case have been registered at police station Awantipora in this regard.
