DHSK visits Chiturgull Anantnag, takes stock of healthcare arrangements for Muharram

Srinagar: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather today visited Chiturgull (block Shangus) the remotest village of Anantnag district to take stock of healthcare arrangements in view of the ongoing Muharram.
During the visit, the director held deliberations with the local people who expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements made by the health department during the Muharram processions for the mourners.
The locals said that all the specialist doctors, paramedics and routine medicines have been made available at the medical camps by the directorate for the Muharram.
They also expressed their gratitude to the health department for providing uninterrupted health care services made for them.
Dr MA Rather stressed upon concerned CMO, BMO and medical staff to provide all the best possible health facilities during Muharram.
Later, Dr MA Rather visited PHC Chiturgull where he inspected all the sections of the hospital and interacted with patients, staff and the local residents.
The locals of the area demanded upgradation of the PHC into Community Health Centre/SDH. The director assured the delegation that their genuine demands will be taken up with the government and consideration will be given to their demands.
Earlier in the day, the director also visited SDH Bijbehara where the OPD has been started in the recently constructed building.
During the entire tour, the Director was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Anantnag Dr M. Y Zagoo.
