Auqaf, Pampore locals for cancelling transfer order of orthopaedic from SDH

PAMPORE: Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore, patients and residents of Saffron Town Pampore have appealed to authorities for retaining renowned orthopedic Dr Shareef Din Wani at Sub district hospital Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The residents told Kashmir Reader that Dr Shareef Din would attend around 300 patients a day and his transfer created problems for patients.The doctor was also performing major surgeries in the Sub district hospital.Dr Wani has been transferred to Sub district hospital Rajpora from Sub district hospital Pampore.

The residents requested authorities to cancel his transfer order immediately.
President Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore, Mohammad Maqbool Shah, told Kashmir Reader that the transfer order of Dr Shareef Din Wani has badly impacted the orthopedic section of the Sub district hospital Pampore.
“There were two orthopedic doctors in the section, one Dr Abid had been transferred to district hospital Pulwama after promotion and now the only orthopedic doctor, Shareef Din Wani too has been transferred,” he said, adding that the section has been deprived of trained human resource.
He told Kashmir Reader that SDH Pampore is situated along Srinagar-Jammu national highway and caters to patients from three different districts including Pulwama, Srinagar and Budgam.
He added that trauma cases on national highways are ferried to Sub district hospital Pampore but now when an orthopedic doctor is unavailable how will they be treated here.
He urged LG Manoj Singh and Commissioner Secretary health for cancel the transfer order of Dr Shareef Din Wani.
