PAMPORE: The revenue department Pampore has seized nine heav rotating excavator machines at Khrew area of Pampore Tehsil of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Officials told Kashmir Reader that nine such machines were seized by Tehsildar administration Pampore during the raids.
The drivers of these seized LNT machines managed to fled from the spot.
The Tehsildar Pampore Zubair Ahmad Bhat along with his team conducted raids on different areas of Khrew to check illegal mining.
During the raids ninematchines were found involved in illegal mining and were seized.
Tehsildar Pampore, Zubair Ahmad Bhat (KAS) told Kashmir Reader that they had seized nine machines involved in illegal mining during the raids at Checkdoora Khrew.
The seized machines were handed over to the officials of the Geology and mining department for further legal action.
He said that they will not allow illegal mining in the area.
“Only those persons will be allowed to mine who have valid permission from District Mineral Officer (DMO) Pulwama,” he said, adding strict action as warranted under law will be taken against those found in illegal mining.
