Anantnag: Nehru Yuva Kendra Anantnag Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports GOI organized Blood Camp at Government Medical College Anantnag in view of ShyamaPrased Mukherjee’s Birth Anniversary. NYV’s & Youth Club Presidents from different Blocks of District Anantnag donated Blood. About 8 Units of Blood were donated by NYV’s & Youth Club Presidents. Seminar were also conducted on life & message of Shyama Prased Mukherjee at Block Sagam. In seminar resource person threw light on life of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, he was great Indian Politician, barrister and academician, who served as the minister for industry and supply in Jawaharlal Nehru’s cabinet. He was Founder-President of Bharatiya Jana Sangh. He guided prominent Institutions such as the Asiatic Society and the Indian Institute of Science. He became the Vice-Chancellor of Calcutta University at the young age of 33. His Policies, his decisions, his resolve and fulfillment of his resolutions were very important in giving directions to Independent India.
