Training on “Introduction to Python Programming for Machine Learning begins at SKUAST College of Agricultural Engineering& Technology

SRINAGAR: Officiating Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K and Dean Students Welfare Prof. M.A.A. Siddique, today on inaugurated a two weeks handas on training on “Introduction to Python Programming for Machine Learning”. The two weeks hands on training programme sponsored under IDP-NAHEP project; is being organized by College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology in association with Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, SKUAST-K, Shalimar.
In total 25 participants (B.Tech/ M.Tech students) are participating in said hands on training programme. OfficiatingVice Chancellor Prof. M.A.A. Siddique emphasized the role of mechanization, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and automation in drudgery reduction and stressed to the impart such trainings to students of other faculties also. The main objective of such hands on training is to enhance employability and entrepreneurship skill of the students.
Course Director and I/C Associate Dean, Prof. Jagvir Dixit, while welcoming the dignitaries highlighted the role of technology in increasing agricultural productivity and importance of python programming in skill up-gradation and employability generation. OSD to Vice Chancellor and CO-PI, NAHEP, Prof. Azmat Alam laid emphasis on use of AI & ML and automation in all fields of Agricultural Sciences. Course Coordinator Dr Razeef Mohammad briefed about overview of training programme and necessity of python programming learning. HOD, SWCE Prof. J. N. Khanwhile presenting the vote of thanks highlighted the importance and necessity of organizing the training programme in enhancing the skill development. Course Coordinator Dr Showkat Rasool hosted the inaugural function.
