Market checking ahead of Eid in Pampore

PAMPORE: Ahead of Eid-ul-Adha festival, the joint team of Revenue department Pampore, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Enforcement Agencies conducted a market checking in Saffron Town Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
The inspection team checked the quality, hygienic condition, expiry and rate lists of Food items and other essential commodities.
The team also recovered Rs 6,000 as fine from erring shopkeepers, officials told Kashmir Reader.
To check overpricing, profiteering and black marketing ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, Tehsil Administration Pampore conducted a market checking in Saffron Town.
On the directions of Tehsildar Pampore Zubair Ahmad Bhat (KAS), a market checking team of Revenue department, Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Enforcement Agencies led by Naib Tehsil Pampore Javaid Ahmad, TSO Pampore Ayash Farooq, TSO Enforcement Agencies Nazir Ahmad Dar conducted a market checking in Drangbal and Khrew Chowk Pampore.
During the inspection various business units including Bakery shops, mutton shops, chicken, wholesalers and dealers, kiryana shops, hotels and vegetable vendors were checked during inspection, a fine of Rs 6,000 recovered from various erring shopkeepers, besides destroyed rotten vegetables, expired spices and food items on the spot in presence of locals, TSO Pampore Ayash Farooq told Kashmir Reader.
