On Doctors Day DC Rajouri greets medical fraternity, lauds their efforts in saving human lives during COVID19 pandemic

RAJOURI: National Doctors’ day was today celebrated in Rajouri with the theme, ‘Family Doctors on the Front Line’.
To mark the day, a grand program was organised here at the office of Chief Medical Officer, which was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal.
Addressing the event, the DC said that National Doctors’ Day is observed in India to recognise and appreciate the significant role and responsibilities of doctors in the Society.
He also added that the annual celebration of this day also helps common man to become aware about the roles, importance and the precious care delivered by doctors.
Acknowledging the doctors contribution during the COVID19 pandemic, the DC recalled their heroic services during the pandemic and thanked them on behalf of the people of the district.
Underlining the measures being taken for strengthening the health sector, he maintained that the Government was working with commitment to strengthen health care and a number of steps are being taken in this regard.
Asking the health authorities to come up to the expectations of the patients, the DC also urged the doctors to work in close synergy and with a missionary spirit to achieve the goal of providing best possible health care to the patients
Among the others, CMO, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar; Dy CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi; DAO, Dr Farooq Mir; doctors and other staff members were present during the event.
