SRINAGAR: World Environment day was celebrated under the theme ‘Only One Earth’, at Govt. MPML higher secondary school B.D.Khan sgr., with full fervor. Dr. Tasaduq Hussain, Director School Education graced the occasion as the chief guest, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Kumar, CEO sgr was the guest of honour. The event was also made graceful by the presence of other dignitaries- Afifa Ashai (Principal, GHSS, Amira kadal), Nighat Parveen (Principal, GHSS, Soura), Shabnum Nahid (Principal, GHSS, Zadibal), Shaheen (Principal, GHSS, Khaniyar), Amaan Ashraf (Principal, BHSS, Zadibal), Mohd Amin Beigh (Principal, BHSS, Soura), Adil Amin (Senior Lecturer, BHSS, Zadibal), Nasir Ahmad (cultural wing DSEK), Mohd. Yaseen (Media line Adv. Agency).
The worthy principal Romana Qazi, being the host of the event, spoke on the importance of celebrating the day. The student participants had mesmerised the galaxy of guests by presenting the heart touching cultural segments with the theme conservation and protection of Only One Earth. The esteemed chief guest in his appreciation speech encouraged the students and showered his pleasant gratitude over the head of institute for organising the marvellous event that he acknowledged as first of that type. The staff members without whose efforts the event would not have been a success includes Nargis, Shugufta Parveen, Rumaisa Nazir, Zubair Ahmad Bangi, Fayaz Ahmad and the last but not the least Bashir Ahmad Bangi. At the end Shabir Hussain Rather vice Principal presented vote of thanks to all dignitaries and organising staff.
