Baba Nagri: Thousands throng Baba Nagri to attend 126t Urs of Hazrat Baba Nizam-ud-Din Kiyanvi (RA). The 2 days Urs, celebrated with great enthusiasm and gaiety, concluded with special and joint prayers at Baba Nagri in Wangat Kangan on Wednesday.
Thousands devotees from within and outside the State had reached Baba Nagri on june 7 Tuesday and besides paying obeisance on the Dargah of Hazrat Baba Nizam-ud-Din Kiyani (RA) attended the congregation and they also took part in night long Shab-khawani and Darood Azqar gatherings held during Urs days.
The two day Urs which commenced on Every year on June 07 and concludes on June 08 with joint prayers at Baba Nagri Kangan.
On the concluding day, a joint prayer was held in which devotees prayed for peace, prosperity, unity, brotherhood and communal harmony of the State.
Besides renowned religious and political personalities and scores of Islamic scholars participated in the congregation.
Speaking on the occasion Sajadh Nisheen Darbari Aaliya Babaji, Mian Altaf Ahmad Larvi highlighted the life and contribution of Hazrat Baba Nizam-ud-Din (RA). He emphasized upon participants to work for the welfare of humanity and follow the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) He called for maintaining brotherhood and amity. He said following the Islamic teachings and treading on it can ensure eradication of evils spreading in the society.
Islamic speakers speaking on the occasion said, Kashmir has historically been a protected place of stay and meditation for the saints, sufis, rishis and other devoted worshipers of god. These sufis taught people the Islamic virtues of justice, sincerity, equality, truth, morality and spirituality. Hazrat Nizam Ud Din Kiyanwi (RA) too belonged to the creed of Sufi saints who have enriched, elevated and refined life and helped the people at large in distress.
It is our fourth visit here as we have faith in this shrine,we are getting peace of mind and are praying for betterment of our carrier here which is getting full filled by the Almighty God.
This time we travelled via Mughal road to reach here and we felt a different and attractive atmosphere while travelling through this route and it took very less time to reach here as compared to Jammu Srinagar highway through which we were visiting earlier, a group of young devotees from Rajouri.
Meanwhile adequate arrangements for boarding lodging were made for the devotees.
The devotees also felt satisfaction over the arrangements including security, traffic and other facilities during the Urs.
