Srinagar: A session of Cyber Jagrukta Diwas was observed on Wednesday in a physical mode and as per the guidelines of scheme of Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India.
The session was inaugurated by the Chief Mentor & Head of the Institution Prof. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir. The speaker of the event was Dr. Abid.H.Wani, who works as Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, South Campus University of Kashmir.
The topic of the session was “Cyber Attacks – Issues and Counter Measures” and the speaker started it by discussing various terminologies related to cyber space and then deliberated upon various types of cyber-crimes and finally gave some safety tips to safeguard ourselves and falling prey to cyber criminals.
The speaker of the event also conducted an online quiz through the website (www.kahoot.it) in which every student participated. The session received an overwhelming response from the students who were more than 100 in number and were from Commerce, Management & IT stream. During the event, the students got aware about the Information related to cyber-crime and its preventive measures.
The session ended with vote of thanks by the Coordinator of the Cyber Jagrukta Abdul Wahid, Asstt. Professor, Department of Computer Applications.
