BGSBU observed world no tobacco day

Jammu:- College of Nursing ( Jammu ), Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Observed world no tobacco day to spread awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use. on the occasion, the students took out a rally to raise awareness amongst the masses about the ill effects of passive and active use of tobacco products. The students also prepared posters which highlighted the bad effects of smoking and tobacco on human lungs.
Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice-Chancellor, BGSB University congratulated the faculty and management of the college for organising such an event to sensitise students about their role in generating awareness concerning socially relevant issues.
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the students for their active participation in the event.
Prof. Akbar said that tobacco is the major cause of respiratory disorders like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, tuberculosis, cancers, leukaemia, cataracts, and pneumonia. The Vice-Chancellor advised the students to bring awareness and encourage people to completely stop tobacco consumption in any form for healthy living and to protect future generations.
