AAC grieved over demise of Khan, Prof Bhim Singh

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of leading businessman and social leader of the valley, Haji Syed Meraj-ud-Din Khan (Chhoo) of Khanyar.
AAC and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, paid homage to the deceased for his decades-long selfless and sincere services to the society and organisation
The deceased had been a close friend, advisor and devout follower of AAC founder Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Farooq Sahib, the statement said.
Terming the demise of Meraj-ud-Din Sahib as a great loss, AAC expressed heartfelt condolence, sympathy and solidarity with his sons
Meanwhile, the AAC also expressed grief over the demise of the renowned politician and Supreme Court lawyer Prof Bhim Singh and paid rich tributes to him.
Prof Bhim Singh was a moderate and balanced leader of Jammu and Kashmir, who fought for rights of people of jammu and kashmir and was tolerant and supportive of the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue, the statement said.
Prof Bhim Singh had close political ties with Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Farooq Sahib. Similarly, he also had a cordial relationship with the present head of the organisation Mirwaiz Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq.
The AAC offered condolences to Prof Bhim Singh’s wife and other family members.
