CUK’s SLS holds motivational lecture

Ganderbal: Department of Law, School of Legal Studies (SLS), Central University of Kashmir (CUK) organized an interactive motivational lecture by P. Aravindhan, an IPS officer of Batch-2010.
Aravindhan apprised the audience about the use of innovative technologies in policing like face recognition to identify criminals and to recover missing cell phones through specific mobile applications. He spoke about the struggle of former Indian cricket team captain, M.S Dhoni and how he inspired himself to represent the country despite limited resources.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah, highlighted the key features of National Education Policy, 2020 regarding the all-round development of students and applauded the department for conducting a series of motivational talks.
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, hailed the department for conducting another student centric event. He apprised Aravindhan about the programmes offered by the university.
Dean SLS, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Mir highlighted the importance of reading success stories of eminent personalities of the world. He lauded the guest speaker for choosing civil services instead of opting for the lucrative career in IBM.
Asst Profs Dr. Yasir Latief Handoo, conducted the proceedings, Dr. Sunder Singh, started the Question and Answer session while as Dr. Rehana Shawl, proposed the vote of thanks.
