Machine operator from Ramban died in stone quarry at Khrew Pampore

PAMPORE: A 22 year old machine driver working in a stone quarry was killed after he was hit by a stone in a stone quarry in Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad told Kashmir Reader that Operator of matchine came under debris while working in a stone quarry at Zantrag Khrew village and died on spot.
The deceased were identified as Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Mahakund Gool, Ramban.
The police officer told Kashmir Reader that after receiving information about the incident police party from police station Khrew rushed to the spot and retrieved the body from debris.
He added that the body of the deceased were taken to the Sub district hospital Pampore for medical formalities.The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
A case FIR bearing number 39/2022 under relevant section have been registered at police station Khrew.
