CUK’s SLS holds lecture on ‘Campus Placement’

Ganderbal: Department of Law, School of Legal Studies (SLS), Central University of Kashmir (CUK) organized an online extension lecture on “Campus Placement,” by LawSikho Edtech Company, Chief Peoples Officer, Ms. Harmain Saini.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah, termed the learning process as social and stressed on the need for internship, practical training programmes so that the students get benefited in the Court of Law.
Ms. Saini, in her speech, said that her enterprise as being the “leading online education company” is bridging the gap between theory and practice in legal profession. She discussed the formidable e-library of practical legal knowledge and I-pleaders as the leading projects of her company including the world’s best up-skilling platforms for lawyers. She said that her company has signed MoUs with multinationals for placements.
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, congratulated the department for conducting yet another student centric event. He emphasized on the importance of holding such programmes for the holistic development of the student community.
Dean SLS, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Mir, asked the students to get benefitted from such interactions and know the latest happenings in the legal profession. He made a passing reference to the famous words that “if you want to rise, then you should be thinking to rise higher and higher.”
Asst Profs. Mr. Hilal Ahmad Najar, conducted the programme while as Dr. Sunder Singh, proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Touba Showkat , LLM scholar, started the technical session while Asst Prof Dr. Imran Ahad Bhat, started the Q&A session.
