PAMPORE: A grand farewell was accorded to Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din at Tehsil office in Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district who has been transferred to Jammu and Kashmir Waqaf board as Tehsildar J&K after serving as Tehsildar Pampore for more than three years.
The farewell party was organised by revenue employees of Tehsil Pampore in which a number of officers, officials and civilians participated.
The arrangements for the Grand Farewell were made by revenue official Mir Murawat Hussain.
Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din served as chief guest, Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Zaffar Husson Shawl, Tehsildar Pampore Zubair Ahmad, Tehsildar Awantipora Shakeel Ahmad, Naib Tehsildar Pampore Javaid Ahmad, Ex Naib Tehsildar Pampore Bashir Ahmad, Ex Naib Tehsildar Khrew Mohammad Ameen, Tehsil official Mir Murawat Hussain, META head Gawhar Aman, Patwar Association district President Pulwama G.M served as guest of honours.
Many members from civil society, senior citizens, members from Gujjar community and representatives from specially abled persons participated in the programme.
Since 7 of May 2022 a number of delegations from different areas of Pampore Tehsil visited and met Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din at Tehsil office Pampore to bid him good bye.
Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din earned good will and respect from residents of Tehsil Pampore for working tirelessly for the all development of the tehsil as Tehsildar Pampore.”
Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Zaffar Husson Shawl said that people from different parts of Tehsil Pampore have been coming to see Ishtiyaq Mohi ud-Din which shows their love and respect.
” The way people showed their love and respect for Ishtiyaq Mohi ud-Din has made all of us proud,” he said, adding that Ishtiyaq Mohi ud-Din is a competent officer who did commendable job during COVID Pandemic as Tehsildar Pampore.
Outgoing Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din in a speech said that he has been humbled by the response shown by common people, colleagues and officers over his transfer.
He appreciated residents of Pampore Tehsil for showing love, respect and affection towards him and for providing him full cooperation as Tehsildar Pampore. Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din was posted as Tehsildar Pampore from 2019 to 7th of May 2022.
He said that it was with cooperation of his staff members that he was able to perform during COVID and other times.
He added that he had to deal with the mafia and simultaneously render public services.
” Whatever I did I was supported by my department and by common people so all credit goes to them,” he said, adding that he will always remember the people of Pampore and their memories are close to his heart.
