KISHTWAR: In continuation to the ongoing drive during the holy month of Ramadhan, the Enforcement team of Food Safety (Food & Drugs Administration) Kishtwar today intensified the checking in the main market hub of the city and strived to make the Fruit sellers, vegetables, bakery, meat, poultry & other vendors aware of the provisions of the FSSA Act.
During the market check instructions were put forth to concerned quarters on the spot to desist from malpractices including unhygienic conditions, habit of keeping cut fruits open & sale of unfit items.
The Drive aims to suffice the objectives of ensuring safe, quality and wholesome food items to the public in General.
Pertinent to mention that an extensive drive has been launched from Monday & none of the Violators have been spared for repeated committed offences.
The defaulters have been and shall be dealt with iron hands with an imposition of heavy fine besides the cancellation of registrations & licenses.
Stakeholders of different associations have come forward to support the District Administration Kishtwar for taking corrective measures in the interest of the society & public in General.
