Spring is in the air

Spring is in the air

Through the withered carcasses of the trees, which have been rendered lifeless and colourless by winter, a fresh life emerges. The earth is covered in a new thin layer of green fleshy coat. Everywhere you look, life is reviving.

The mountains appear clear in the distance. On top of them, a light coating of snow is still stuck. When the sun’s rays strike the snow’s frizzy surface, they bounce back and cause the vision to blur.
The clouds have opened and stretched their arms in various directions, wandering recklessly. Birds swoop gracefully over the sky, and their chirping melodies provide enormous joy. After enduring the wrath of snow and rain, a thin layer of green, meaty grass has sprung from the earth’s surface. Nature appears to be replenishing itself.
The atmosphere appears to be pleasant and inviting. Tulips in a rainbow of colours are joyously blooming. Also in full bloom are almond trees, which are a sign of love and beauty. Their little blossoms have a new vigour that piques my interest. It gives me a new sense of hope.
In Kashmir, spring is typically the season of blooming. During this time, the almond trees bloom, adding to the beauty of the landscape. The miniature tulips, like the almond trees, have a message to convey. They disseminate a message of peace and love to the world. Tulips’ perfume infiltrates the human soul and pervades the body like a natural odour.
Through the withered carcasses of the trees, which have been rendered lifeless and colourless by winter, a fresh life emerges. The earth is covered in a new thin layer of green fleshy coat. Everywhere you look, life is reviving.
The bitter cold has already vanished, leaving only a soft and lovely breeze to flutter in the evenings. People have also taken off their winter coats and are venturing out into the countryside. Outside the town’s small wooden dilapidated businesses, old people can be seen sitting and talking. Their aged faces and scars that have remained on their flesh for a long time say a lot. They have a plethora of challenges to share with us, the youth. Some people can also be spotted in the orchards, returning to the arduous task of land cultivation.
Children, too, take pleasure in the arrival of spring in their own special manner. Every day brings them a new sense of delight, especially when they leave their homes early in the morning to walk to a neighbouring hill to fly their multi-coloured kites in the sky and watch them flutter. The sky begins to take on the same vibrant hues as the surrounding terrain.
Rivers and streams flow out of the deep forest and into the plains. The sound made by the waves when they hit the rocky ground wipes away the stresses of everyday life. The chattering of birds creates a soothing soundscape, while the green grass serves as a natural sofa on which to recline and watch the world go by.
The enchantment of spring in Kashmir is hypnotising. So, what are you waiting for? Feel free to appreciate spring while it endures. Take a walk. Eat a frozen yogurt. Partake in the vibe of wet grass on your feet. Wear blossoms in your hair. Make fresh starts. It is the season to do precisely that.
