Police arrests 5 drug peddlers in Ganderbal, Awantipora Baramulla

Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Ganderbal & Awantipora and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
Officers from Police Station Kheerbawani during routine checking at Shafa-Kadal intercepted one person in a suspicious condition. During checking, officers were able to recover 1Kg of Charas Powder, 50 grms of Charas like substance and cash amount of ₹19,000/- believed to be the proceeds of narcotic crime from his possession. He has been identified as Nisar Ahmad Rather son of Wali Mohammad Rather resident of Gangerhama. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody
In Awantipora, a police party of Police Station Tral during routine checking at Guna Kocha Tral intercepted a vehicle bearing chasis number MA3JMT81SMM603458 with two persons on board. They have been identified as Owais Ashraf Trag son of Mohammad Ashraf Trag resident of Tral and Rafiq Ahmad Sheikh son of Ab Aziz Sheikh resident of Machama Tral. During checking, 1050 Spasmoproxyvon capsules were recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective Police Stations and further investigation set into motion.
Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
Officers from Police Station Kreeri and PP Wagoora under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri during routine checking at Watergam Kreeri intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK05H-9954 with two persons on board. They have been identified as Ab Hamid Bhat son of Ab Samad Bhat resident of Hygam Sopore and Irfan Ahmad Mir son of Gh Mohd Mir resident of Kawcheck, Kreeri and recovered 8.5 grams of Heroin like substance from the vehicle. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kreeri and investigation has been initiated.
