Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Team Red on Sunday organised a plantation drive in various areas of Srinagar today
Among others who were part of the event include Muazzam Mehraj, Faiq Wani, Adnan Faried, Misbah Rather, Umair Zahoor, Basit Khan & Waseem Yaqoob
The Team Red district, and state level functionaries planted the saplings across the valley in various districts.
Interacting with their people on the occasion the functionaries said that the programme has been undertaken in sync with the founding principles of the team that stress on protecting biodiversity, environment and ecology. The functionaries said the efforts made by the team in this direction will go a long way in sanitising the people, particularly youth about the environmental issues.
They said that in cities and other urban conglomerates, it is particularly important to have green zones in order to boost quality of air and also add to the aesthetics of the surrounding.
They said the programme couldn’t have been possible without the active support of TeamRed’s environmental win.
