Srinagar: Police in Budgam launched a plantation drive in the premises of IPTS Heights School Khansahib. The drive was launched on the directions of SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS.
SDPO Khansahib Shri Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din-JKPS flanked by forest officials and other officers of the Sub-Division Khansahib kicked off the plantation drive.
The main aim of the drive is to promote greenery in our establishments as a part of larger sustainable ecological development. The preservation of our ecology assumes importance so as to stabilize our ecosystem in order to preserve the ecological diversity. Promoting greenery will help us to offset emissions which upset our ecological balance.
Addressing the students, SDPO Khansahib threw light on the importance of plants in our life. He said that being part of a responsible organization, we must plant trees to keep nature in its best balance and we must give our future generations a green and clean environment.
