CCRUM organising Unani Day 2022 and international conference at Srinagar

Srinagar: The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India is organising Unani Day 2022 and International Conference on Unani Medicine at SKICC, Srinagar on Thursday in hybrid mode.
Sarbananda Sonowal, Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Ayush and Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Government of India will be the Chief Guest and Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Ayush and Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India and Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir will be the Distinguished Guests of Honour.
Pramod Kumar Pathak, Special Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India will attend the inaugural function as Guest of Honour. Prof. Asim Ali Khan, Director General, CCRUM and Dr. M. A. Qasmi, Adviser (Unani), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India will also attend the program.
The theme of the two-day international conference is “Diet and Nutrition in Unani Medicine for Good Health & Well-being”. A panel discussion and eight scientific sessions on the sub-themes, viz. “Diet and Nutrition – An Important Branch in the Health Sector”, “Unani Medicine for Global Health”, “Diet and Nutrition – An Important Component for Improving Immunity in Unani Medicine”, “Lessons Learned during Pandemic”, “Achieving Good Health & Wellbeing – SDG-3”, “Traditional Systems of Medicine for Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs)” and “Health & Wellness” will be held.
Speaking about the conference, Prof. Asim Ali Khan said that a number of national and international experts and luminaries from the field of health sciences will share their knowledge, experiences and expertise in the conference. He expects that stakeholders from industry, academia and research organizations engaged in development of Unani Medicine and related health sciences will attend the program in large number.
