KTA urges MEA to use its good offices to get back J&K students from Ukraine

Srinagar: Kashmir Traders Alliance has urged the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to use its good offices in foreign countries for the safe return of students from J&K who are stranded in Ukraine.
In a statement, President KTA, Aijaz Shahdhar said that the war in Ukraine has put in depression hundreds of families in Jammu and Kashmir whose children are currently stranded in Ukraine.
” While watching on Tv screens bombardment, air attacks, there is panic across the globe, particularly among those whose kiths and kins are stranded in that part of the world. As per reports over 200 students from J&K are stranded in Ukraine, it is a humanitarian crisis and we urge the MEA’s and the Indian government to use its good offices to get back these students.’
“Not only students but all the Indian citizens who are stranded in Ukraine,” Shahdhar said, adding that these students should be flown out of Ukraine free of cost and the government should bear their travelling expenses.
