Srinagar: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Sopore have arrested a notorious drug peddler who was evading his arrest for a long time.
Acting on specific input about the presence of a notorious drug peddler who was evading his arrest since long time, a police team led SHO Police Station Panzalla under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Shri Ameen Bhat-JKPS managed to arrest the accused person namely Muhammad Rafiq Lone son of Muhammad Yousuf Lone resident of Nadihal Rafiabad.
The accused has been produced before the competent court and has been remanded to police custody for further questioning.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
