Awareness programme on BBBP held in Wahab Sahab Pampore

PAMPORE: Integrated child development Scheme (ICDS) department Pampore in Collaboration with Mahila Shakti Kendra Pulwama under MoWCD, government of India organised an awareness programme regarding Beti Bachao Beti Padhao at Wahab Sahab, Shar Shali village of Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
The programme was conducted with the motive to provide information regarding women welfare schemes. A good crowd of women participated in the programme.
CDPO Pampore Misra Akther, Women Welfare Office Mahila Shakti Kendra Pulwama Mansha and other officials of ICDS and Mahila Shakti Kendra were present on the occasion, besides ICDS employees, ASHA and general public participated.
CDPO Pampore Misra Akhtar while addressing to the gathering said that for saving girl child the government has taken many initiatives and launched many compaigns to save them.
“For saving the girl,  the first step starts with our own home,  We should encourage our family members, friends and relatives to save them and make other people aware of it too,” she said.
Women Welfare Officer MSK Pulwama said the participants were informed about the different women welfare schemes.
During the programme CDPO Misra Akther  WWO Pulwama Mansha along with their staff distributed baby suits among the newly born girl child under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
Women Welfare Officer Pulwama Mansha along with her staff members listened to various field functionaries.
Grievances and  long pending demands of women of the area were noted.
The MSK team assured the proper disposal of their grievances.
WWO Pulwama encouraged women to allow their children to get the best education so that they can become able to serve themselves, their family and the society as well. She personally noted down all the issues and stressed for maximum participation of local women.
Speaking on the occasion she said that collective efforts need to be taken to promote awareness about rights of girl child.
Mansha and Mehrusa Farooq thrusted on the various initiatives taken by the Ministry of women and child development regarding numerous women centric schemes like
Aasra Scheme, Sakshame,E-Sharam, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana,Women Police Station, Shelter Home, Old Age Person Scheme, National Scholarship Portal, Janani Suraksha Youjana, Ayushman Bharat, Hunnar, State Marriage Assistance, Scholarship for Single Girl Child, Indra Gandhi National Disability Person Scheme, Employment Generation Programs including Tejaswini, Women Helpline 181, Mumkin, JKEID, PMEGP.
