GRP constable died after hit by train near Panzgam Pulwama

Awantipora: A head Constable of Government Railway Police lost his life after being hit by a train near railway station Panzgam in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday evening.
A head Constable deployed in government railway station Panzgam Pulwama Mohammad Hussain, resident of Pulwama died after he was hit by train.
The incident took place on Friday evening at 5.15 Pm when the head constable was on duty on the railway track near Panzgam railway station and was hit by a train which was coming from Baramulla to Banihal, officials told Kashmir Reader.
A government railway officer told Kashmir Reader that head constable, Mohammad Hussain age about 48, who was posted at Panzgam, was killed after he was hit by a passenger train near Panzgam railway station.
” He was performing his duties when he was hit by the train, he sustained injuries and was taken to Sub district hospital Bijbehara where doctors declared him brought dead,” the GRP officer said, adding that family members of the deceased were called and after Medical formalities, the body will handed to them for burial.
He said that the deceased was a resident of Panjran village of Pulwama.
The incident took place on Friday evening around 5:15 PM, he said.
