RAK Association urge its members to follow COVID-19 SOPs strictly

Srinagar: Since the surge of positive cases of COVID-19 in union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, president of Restaurant and Cafe Association urge its members to follow strict COVID-19 SOPs as directed by the district administrations from time to time so that smooth and normal business of restaurants and Cafes all across the valley will not hinder.
Sheikh Feroz, president of association said, “Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic in the world and especially in Jammu and Kashmir, all the business activities came to standstill and it is our moral duty to keep the safety of clients and ourselves in this turbulent time on top priority and such safety measures during this Covid-19 pandemic in Jammu & Kashmir Union territory will play an important role for smooth running of hotels, restaurants and Cafes all across the valley.”
“The SOPs directed by the state administration should be follow in letter and spirit at all restaurant and Cafes so that the visitors and our team members will be safe from it,” he said.
“On daily basis, we are doing zoom meeting with all our members of the association so that all the issued related to Covid – 19 pandemic viz-a-viz the routine matter will be discussed and necessary steps will be adopted for both tourists, clients and staff,” said Babar Chowdhary, vice president Restaurant and Cafe Association.
“The Jammu and Kashmir government has already made valid and verifiable RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) reports not older than 72 hours of arrival mandatory for all tourists and pilgrims,” said Sheikh Imraan, Secretary General RAK.
It is pertinent to mention that with the outbreak of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in Srinagar and elsewhere across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, authorities re-imposed preventive measures for the containment of Covid19 spread. However, after a considerable decline in the caseloads in Srinagar and other parts of J&K, authorities threw open trade, transport on a conditional basis besides reopening of public parks and gardens.
