PHDCCI hails introduction of Land pass book

Srinagar: PHDCCI Kashmir Chair Baldev Singh Raina and Mushtaq Chaya-MC PHDCCI congratulated the administration lead by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and his team of Officers Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, Financial Commissioner Revenue, Shaleen Kabra, Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, for the “landmark announcement” of reforms of introducing the Land Pass Book which they said were “yet another manifestation” of the administration’s commitment towards self-reliance, accountability, transparency and welfare of poor and strengthening the economy in challenging times.
Earlier it was believed that reading of revenue records and getting revenue records is a very specialized task of revenue officials and far away from the knowledge of the general masses. But due to these land reforms like Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani, Land Pass book are really landmark achievements in present circumstance when everybody who is involved in buying and selling property, agricultural land on regular or occasional basis, getting loan on movable or immovable property or offering any guarantee of any loan/ credit, where everybody should need to have a basic knowledge of revenue records. It not only helps to boost the confidence of investors or borrowers but also save them from fraud, misappropriation or any other litigation, by implementation of this system in the entire J&K most of the land disputes will be resolved automatically.
Vicky Shaw Co-Chair PHDCCI-Kashmir further added that the Land reform is no doubt one of the top achievements of present administration and we are hopeful that quality education for all, quality healthcare for all and affordable subsidised 24X7 electricity for all, and piped water supply to every household and enough employment avenues will be ensured by the government towards the welfare of the people of J&K.
