DC Pulwama, SSP Awantipora tours Pampore to take stock of adoption of Covid appropriate behaviour

Pampore: To take stock of adoption of COVID appropriate behaviour and preparation to avoid third wave of COVID, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer-Ul-Haq Choudhary along with SSP Awantipora, Mohammad Yousuf visited Saffron Town Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din, SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad, SHO Pampore Mohammad Younis Khan and other officials accompanied him during the visit.
During the tour, they travelled 3-4 kilometer from Kadlabal to Galander Chandhara stop on foot to make it sure there is no violation of COVID protocols.
Talking to Kashmir Reader, Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhry told that the administration is more ably prepared than previous time.
“The readiness in terms of infrastructure and other things is quite satisfactory and we are more prepared to tackle the third wave, in case it erupts,” Deputy Commissioner Pulwama said. He said that joint teams of revenue and police is monitoring adaptation of COVID appropriate behaviour.
“They make it sure that there is no violation and at the same time they are informed about importance of adopting SOP’s on COVID,” he said, adding that face masks, as you see it was done by SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf today, are disturbed among people in Pampore and other areas of Awantipora.
He appealed people to follow COVID protocols in view of possible third wave so that no human is lost.
