At 542, J&K records six-month high daily Covid cases

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir saw a major jump in Covid cases with 542 daily cases reported on Friday, the highest in last six months. One death by the infection was also recorded in Jammu, an official bulletin said.
Jammu continued to report surge in cases with 288 cases while Kashmir saw 254 fresh cases of the infection
Moreover, 98 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 31from Jammu Division and67 from Kashmir Division.
The bulletin said that one new case of Mucormycosis was reported, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 51 across J&K..
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases, the bulletin said that Srinagar reported 137 cases, Baramulla reported 48 cases, Budgam reported 20 cases, Pulwama reported 02 cases, Kupwara reported 17cases, Anantnag reported 05 cases, Bandipora reported 03cases, Ganderbal reported 04 cases, Kulgam reported 18cases while as Shopian reported no fresh case for today.
Similarly, Jammu reported 176 cases, Reasi reported 27 cases for today, Udhampur reported 16 cases, Rajouri reported 14 cases, Doda reported 15 cases, Kathua reported 23 cases, Samba reported 07 cases, Poonch reported 06 case, Kishtwar reported 04 cases while as Ramban reported no fresh case for today.
The bulletin further informs the general public that they can contact helpline numbers 0191-2520982/2674444/2674115/2674908/2549676 in Jammu Division and 0194-2440283/2430581/2452052/2457313/2457312 in Kashmir Division for any kind of guidance and assistance.
On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 84,507doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to1,91,79,263, it said.
