Blood donation camp held in Khrew Pampore

PAMPORE: A blood donation camp was organized at Public School Khrew area of Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
The camp was organized by Blood donors Kashmir in collaboration with government Lal Ded hospital Srinagar.
The camp was inaugurated by blood bank officer LD hospital Dr Javaid Iqbal Khan in presence of doctors, members of blood doners Kashmir and a number of people of the area.
The objective of the camp was to motivate people to donate blood voluntarily so as to save precious life of needy patients.
Around 60 volunteers donated blood at the camp, officials told Kashmir Reader
“we are thankful to blood donors of Kashmir, particularly Mr Dawood, who coordinated with us and approached our administration at LD Hospital and it was because of him that the camp was successful,” Dr Javid Iqbal Khan, blood Bank officer LD Hospital, told Kashmir Reader, adding that they are hopeful of collecting around 60 points of blood.
He said that the donated blood is used for meeting emergency cases at LD hospital and he appealed people to come forward for the blood donation.
