Stray dogs kill 5 sheep in Gund Ganderbal

Gund: At least five sheep were attacked and killed by a pack of stray dogs in Ramwari Gund area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday afternoon.
Locals of the area said that stray dogs attacked a flock of sheep of Mohammad Yousuf Ahanger in Ramwari Gund village on Sunday afternoon and killed atleast five sheep, and injuring several others.
They said that from the past couple of weeks a group of stray dogs are roaming in the locality and not only the livestock, several people mostly children were injured by them, resulting in panic created among the locals.
The people appealed to the district administration Ganderbal to take immediate steps to catch these dogs otherwise people will take action on their own.
A sheep husbandry department official Ab Rashid told Kashmir Reader that stray dogs attacked a herd and mauled five sheep and injured others, most of them critical.
