DDC Chairman Doda flags off group of PRIs for training cum exposure visit

DODA: District Development Council Chairman Dhananter Singh today flagged off a group of 40 Sarpanches and Panchs for a 4-day training cum exposure tour to outside J&K, here from Dak Banglow.
DDC Chairman was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Development, Mohammad Idrees Lone.
The PRIs will visit Ferozpur and Amritsar during the four day visit organised under a special move of the J&K government aiming at to hold training Cum Exposure Visits of elected Representatives through Inter-state and Intra-state exposure visits.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman appealed to the visiting PRIs to learn the positive things applied by the PRIs outside J&K for overall development of the rural infrastructure and economy back at home.
The chairman asked the PRIs to go with an optimistic mind that will help them understand the practices being followed by different Panchayats in other states and emulate the same to develop and strengthen the Panchayat Institutions back at home.
The ACD said that the exposure trips will help the PRI members of Jammu & Kashmir provinces to learn from other states and also help in empowering them. This will be a milestone for the growth story of Jammu and Kashmir because no state/UT can grow without Gramin Vikas.
He stressed that Exposure Visits are very important for the Capacity Building of Panchayati Raj Institutions in our UT especially our district.
