Sharda University celebrated silver jubilee

SRINAGAR: Sharda University celebrated its Silver Jubilee (25th Foundation Day). Apart from eminent Dignitaries from the education world, many embassy officials and ambassadors were present on this occasion. Apart from the employees and officers who did excellent work in the service of the University, former VCs and Registrars were honored by giving moments.
The event, which lasted till late Thursday night at the Iconic Club and Convention center, informed about the journey of Sharda Group over the past 25 years through short films. On this occasion, Chancellor of the University PK Gupta said that 25 years ago we had entered the education sector with a vision. Its purpose is that the local children should not have to go to South India or far away for medical studies including higher and technical. In view of this, undergraduate courses are being run in many subjects from engineering to medical colleges. More than 60 thousand students of our campus are doing well at the global level. students coming from foreign countries are contributing to the economic strength of their country after completing their studies from here. When we come to know about these things, we feel proud along with it. Appreciating the contribution of the teachers and other employees, he said that all of you have an important contribution in the journey that Sharda Group has taken today.
Prof Chancellor YK Gupta said that this institute is affecting the lives of 15 crore people and people from more than 60 countries are associated with the Sharda group in one way or the other. Our employees are like family members. RP Singh, General Secretary of the Quality Council and the first VC of Sharda University, said that one day this university will mark its name in the top 100 universities. Sharda University’s Coffee Table Book was released in the program. 15 employees, officers and teachers involved in the group’s journey and working for more than 15 and 20 years were honored. First of all, PK Gupta, chairman of the institute, felicitated Dr.Ajit Kumar, director of PR and RP Singh, the first VC of the university and general secretary of the Quality Council of India. A colorful program was organized on this occasion.
