SRINAGAR: Principal Chief Conservator of Forests J&K, kick starts the plantation drive in Dal catchment area of Dal lake.
The Vice chairman LCMA, Dr Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Divisional Forest officer Sindh Forest Division Ovais Ahmad Mir, project Officer watershed Management Division LCMA Gazalla Abdullah were present on the occasion.
While planting a Kail, PCCF J&K said that the aim to plant more and more trees and plants in the catchment area of Dal lake is to conserve the water for protection of Dal lake in the best way. VC LCMA informed that the watershed Management Division of the Authority is going to plant 62000 plants in this month and about 1 lac in the month of March 2022.
He directed the project officer watershed Management Division to complete the plantation drive and stressed upon the need for making the entire catchment of Dal lake green by planting more and more trees.
