DHSK visits Kulgam hospitals, reviews work on under-construction hospital buildings

Srinagar: On the directions of Additional Chief Secretary J&K Health and Medical Education Department, Shri Vivek Bhardwaj, Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Monday visited hospitals of Kulgam district and took a detailed review of the under-construction hospital building.
A spokesperson of the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir said earlier Additional Chief Secretary J&K Health and Medical Education Department, Shri Vivek Bhardwaj had directed the DHSK to visit and oversee the construction work of hospitals of the area.
The Director was accompanied by Deputy Director Planning, Chief Medical Officer Kulgam, Block Medical Officer Quimoh, Medical Officer DH Pora, besides officers of the executing agencies.
Director visited PHC Quimoh where he reviewed the progress of the work on the under-construction hospital building and directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite the work on the project.
The hospital building is being constructed under the Prime Ministers Development Package.
During his visit, the Director also met a delegation of locals and senior citizens who demanded up-gradation of health care facilities.
The Director interacted with the people and assured them that the department will upgrade health care services in the area for public convenience. Later the director also visited Medical Block DH Pora where he took a review of the health facilities being provided to patients.
He also took a review of an under-construction hospital building in the block and also gave direction to the executive agencies to pace up the work so that the building is inaugurated as soon as possible.
The director while reviewing the health care facilities said the area being a far-off place needs better patient care services and infrastructure. He also stressed uninterrupted health care services to the general public.
