JKYF felicitates alumni of its orphanage Baitul Hilal for securing admission in professional courses

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Foundation on Sunday held a felicitation function at Baitul Hilal orphanage Jawaharnagar Srinagar for the six alumni of its orphanage for securing admission in professional course.
The speakers commended tireless sincere efforts and initiatives of JKYF in creating success stories in the form of alumni who have recently achieved distinction to become part of mainstream professional career family in Jammu & Kashmir.
The Baitul Hilal alumni recently secured admission in various professional courses within & outside J&K after clearing entrance examinations. The passouts are being supported financially by JKYF to help students to pursue their selected professional careers in varied fields.
The passouts included Mohammad Yaseen Hajam & Saleem Jaffar Naik from Kishtwar, Javaid Ahmad Khan from Kupwara, Yasir Ahmad Mir from Uri Baramulla, Tanveer Ahmad Sheikh from Chandhara Pampore and Mohammad Altaf Khan from Bonakoot Bandipora.These students had been admitted over a decade ago at Baitul Hilal Jawahar Srinagar. They received their formal education at various private and govt educational institutions in Srinagar city and later passed out following clearance of Plus Two examinations in different streams.
The galaxy of mediapersons, social service activists, well wishers & philanthropists at an Alumni Felicitation Function of JKYF at Baitul Hilal Srinagar called for inculcating sense of honesty, integrity and dedication among orphanage alumni to live virtuous life while serving the common people through their professional careers in any field of contemporary life.
Chairman JKYF Mohammad Ahsan Rather in his vote of thanks extended his gratitude to all the guests and well wishers who attended the felicitation ceremony of Baitul Hilal alumni. He said this participation was highly encouraging and motivational for JKYF volunteers to take forward JKYF’s welfare mission with more honesty, zeal, zest and dedication.
He enjoined upon outgoing students to uphold honesty and work hard with dedication to complete their professional courses to reach professional zenith. He also thanked all volunteers and honorary functionaries of all the districts of Kashmir division for their sincere initiatives and efforts in pursuit of the goal of socio-economic development of underprivileged sections of the society.He also threw light on various welfare initiatives and programmes undertaken since 2000.
On the occasion, the outgoing Baitul Hilal Students shared their experiences during their over a decade long stay at Baitul Hilal Srinagar. They also suggested several proposals to improve upon the working at BAITUL HILALs under JKYF at Srinagar, Kulgam, Sopore and Kishtwar.Senior volunteers and honorary functionaries of JKYF from all districts of Kashmir Division were present on the occasion.
