Pampore: An Assistant Store Keeper of Food Civil Supplies andConsumer Affairs holding charge of a sale centre in Meej area of Pampore has been suspended by officials after locals complained about him not distributing ration for the past two months .
Assistant Director(AD) Food Pulwama , Sheikh Enayat told Kashmir Reader that they have put Maej on suspension and an enquiry has been constituted against him to probe the allegations.
An official order, a copy of which lies with Kashmir Reader, was issued by Assistant Director Food office Pulwama in this regard.
“Whereas, the rationees of sale centres Meej and Konibal have been complaining against the I/C storekeeper , Firdous-Un-Nabi / ASK(R.No.5461) about maldistribution of ration by him.
Whereas TSO Khrew has also reported about misconduct/absconding from duties on the behalf of said ASK and same apprehensions were raised by Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din.
Whereas pending enquiry into the matter, the said official was placed under suspension vide this office No FCS&CA / Pul/Adm//21/6817-21, dated 27/10/2021,” the order reads.Earlier Meej Pampore residents decry non distribution of ration, villagers met Tehsildar Pampore Tehsildar Pampore and sought his intervention in to the matter.
A local resident, Mohammad Subhaan Khanday, told Kashmir Reader that for the past three months the Assistant Storekeeper of Meej didn’t report to his duties at the store.
” The monthly ration including rice remains undistributed by him among villagers due to which they suffer,” he said, adding that they tried to reach him on his phone many times but he didn’t respond.
The locals accused him of selling the government ration in a blank market.
