Budgam: India achieved a milestone of one billion doses of Covid-19 Vaccination, in this connection an event was held at Budgam under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate Budgam. The Event kickstarted by the District Magistrate Budgam cutting a cake ceremony followed by candle lighting and balloon release.
On this special occasion the DDC office Complex was decorated and illuminated reflecting a magnificent look.The worthy DDC felicitated Doctors and Health care Warriors of District Budgam in presence of Chief Medical Officer Budgam. Deputy Chief Medical Officer Budgam, District Immunization Officer Budgam, District Tuberculosis Officer Budgam, all Block Medical Officers of district Budgam for 100% achievement of above 18 vaccination in district at te DC office Budgam.
Chief Medical Officer Budgam, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Budgam, District Immunization Officer Budgam, District Tuberculosis Officer Budgam all block Medical Officers of District Budgam and a large number of health warriors were present on the special occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Worthy DDC congratulated all the frontline workers and those who are working under these frontline workers for achieving the 100% vaccination target in the District. The DDC assured them every kind of support required in tackling the pandemic as well as other medical emergencies for smooth working of the hospitals of the district and better patient care.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Tajamul Husain Khan in his address expressed his gratitude towards all stakeholders particularly Doctors , Health workers, PRI’s and senior citizens for providing special coordination in achievement of the vaccination target. He impressed upon the doctors and health workers to work with the same pace and dedication for cent percent administration of the 2nd dose of COVID vaccine among the target population.
Later both the divinities facilitated various doctors and health workers with certificates of appreciation for rendering untiring and better services during COVID 19 pandemic.
A vote of thanks was delivered by Deputy CMO Budgam Dr. Tehmeena Bukhari, she expressed her deep gratitude to the District Magistrate for making the event such a success and to the frontline workers for making the vaccination target a success. CMO Budgam Dr Tajamul Hussain Khan in his concluding remarks stressed upon the continuity of efforts by everyone in order to tackle the COVID in future.
