Farmers’ training program held at Assar

DODA: Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Doda today organised a training program under soil Health card scheme (NMSA) here at Ramgarh area of Block Assar.
The Programme was organised under the guidance of Chief Agriculture Officer, Anil Gupta and overall supervision of Director Agriculture Jammu K K Sharma.
DDC Councilor Assar, Rekha Devi presided over the function, while District Agriculture officer Haroon Hussain was guest of honour on the occasion.
Around 70 farmers of Ramgarh and adjoining areas attended the programme.
The Chief Guest DDC Assar Rekha Devi advised the farmers to take maximum benefits from government schemes as it is the only sector which can help them earn their livelihood.
District Agriculture officer, Haroon Hussain gave a detailed lecture on the importance of Soil Health Card scheme. He advised the farmers to get the benefit of the Scheme as it can also help them improve the health of different crops grown in the area. He also replied to the queries raised on the occasion and assured to solve all matters in a time bound manner.
Sarpanch Ramgarh Mohammad Asharaf also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the department for organising the awareness camp in the area. He also sought holding of more such camps in other areas of his Panchayat.
Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Pranoo Kuldeep Bhasan spoke about the schemes being implemented in the district. He also briefed the farmers regarding the PM Kisan Scheme.
Earlier, Agriculture Extension Assistant, Mushroom Wasim Raja delivered a lecture on the Mushroom cultivation and its lucrative returns.
Among other SMS Khalid Abdullah, incharge AEO Ajaz Salaria, AEAs Yasir Truck,Lal Chand, Hafiz Mir and other officers and officials of department were present on the occasion.
