Swachhta pledge observed by AP & FWD Kashmir

Srinagar: Agriculture Production & Farmers welfare Department Kashmir today celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and taking Swachhta pledge throughout the valley.
Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal Kick started the event at Agriculture Complex Kupwara where he along with other officers of the district took swachh oath. On the occasion A massive cleanliness drive was initiated across the district Kupwara. On the occasion the Director Agriculture Kashmir highlighted the importance of cleanliness and its role in preserving the environment of the country and health of its people.
Director Agriculture highlighted the importance of cleanliness amid Covid-19 scenario. He impressed upon the employees working in Agriculture department across the valley to promote cleanliness for keeping the environment clean. He said that cleanliness is the best service to the mankind which should be the driving force while performing the day to day professional duties.
Similar function where held at Directorate of Agriculture Lalmandi and all the District, Sub- Divisional and Zonal level Offices which was monitored by Joint Director Agriculture Extension Sheikh Shahid Iqbal, Joint Director Inputs Farooq Ahmad Shah, Joint Director Marketing M. Qasim Ghani, Joint Director Farms Syed Waseem Ahmad Shah, Joint Director Mushroom and Apiculture M. Syed Peer, Deputy Director Agriculture Central Zaffer Ahmad Hakeem besides all officers and officials participated in today’s campaign .
Later Director Agriculture Kashmir launched massive program on oilseed production for the coming Rabi season and stressed on the 100 percent achievement of targets set apart for the district by reviving the traditional practices with latest technological interventions and incorporation of high yielding varieties.
