Pedestrian seriously injured after hit by vehicle near Awantipora

AWANTIPORA: A Pedistrain was seriously injured on Wednesday after he was hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Barsoo in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A pedestrian was critically injured after hit by Eco sports vehicle bearing registration number DL10CF-2380 driven by Shabir Ahmad Bhat, resident of Budgam hit one Pedestrian Muzzafar Ahmad Lone son Ghulam Hassan, resident of Bahoo Awantipora near Barsoo area of Awantipora.
Station House Officer Awantipora Zahoor Ahmad told Kashmir Reader that Muzaffar was crossing the road in the area when a vehicle hit him leaving him seriously injuries.
The injured was immediately shifted to PHC Awantipora, where from he was referred to Srinagar hospital in critical condition.
Police Awantipora have registered a case in this regard. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and vehicle involved in the accident also seized, he said.
