SRINAGAR: Apni Party on Sunday organised women wing meetings at Kutbal & Jadden, Block Sursyar in Charar-i-Shareef where Party Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi and Women Wing Provincial President Kashmir Dilshad Shaheen interacted with the women participants.
Besides Apni Party Women Wing Provincial Vice President Dr. Asmat, In-charge Charar-i-Shareef Constituency Mushtaq Zuhami, Women Wing Provincial Secretary Afroza, Women Wing District President Budgam Shakeela, Ms. Rafiqa, Ms. Zamrooda, Ms. Nighat Qayoom, Ms. Masarat and Ms. Saroj Khan were also present.
The Party leaders were apprised about multiple grievances faced by the women folk on a routine basis who were later assured that Party Women Wing will unswervingly raise their pressing concerns with the competent authorities.
“Women have an important role to play in every society and to work for their upliftment and empowerment is one of the core agenda of Apni Party. I want to assure you that Apni Party Women Wing has always voiced the woes of the women folk who are being muffled if they speak up for their rights. May it be domestic violence incidents against women or the disengagement of Anganwadi workers, we have always supported women welfare,” Dilshad Shaheen said.
She said that Apni Party holds a clear road map for women empowerment where women shall have their representations in all walks of life whether it be social, economic or even political.
On this occasion, Apni Party Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi also addressed the gatherings while reiterating Party’s resoluteness with regards to the women’s emancipation.
“Women empowerment remains vital for any progressive society and it becomes highly imperative for us all to diligently put our efforts for the welfare of women in all sectors of life. Equal pay and Equal opportunities on the basis of skills and capabilities is our motto and the Women Wing of Party has boldly held its flambeau,” Andrabi asserted.
The women participants thanked the Party leaders especially the women wing leaders for visiting their respective areas and reposed their faith in Apni Party while saying that it remains the only reliable political platform that is sincere about the public welfare.
