Workshop on Agri-Clinics andb Agri-Business Centre held at Faculty of Agriculture Wadura Campus SKAUST-K

SRINAGAR: The Workshop on Agri-Clinics and Agri-Business Centre (ACABC) was held at Faculty of Agriculture Wadura on Wednesday under the theme of “Atma Nirbhar Bharat” focusing the self-employment mind set up for the agriculture graduates. The workshop aimed to tap the expertise available in the large pool of agriculture graduates. The workshop was attended by heads of various divisions, faculty members and more than 50 UG/PG students of faculty. The programme was inaugurated by Dean FoA Prof. A.H. Hakeem.
He thanked the NABARD for the conduct such workshops and suggests that such programms in future will provide the way forward to the students and they will also work for the betterment of the agriculture sector. He also highlighted the importance of such workshops in the current scenario in promoting the agripreneurship among the students
The programme was organized by DDM NABARD Zubair Wasil for the students and faculty. Zubair in his keynote address highlighted the emphasis of NABARD on the revival of the agriculture sector and underscored the importance of the agriculture sector in taking forward the vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat. Talking with the forum, DDM NABARD gave an overview of the ACABC Scheme and the benefits for establishing the ACABC units at ground level.
Jaffer Nodal Officer of National Training Institute also gave presentation on different training programmes for promoting agripreneurship ability among students. The UG and PG students enjoyed the interactive session with the expert guests. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone.
