Police recover stolen cement along with truck, arrests accused

PAMPORE: Jammu and Kashmir Police have solved a theft case in Khrew area of Pampore by arresting five thieves and recovered stolen 180 bags of cement along with the vehicle,police said on Saturday.
SDPO Pampore, Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad told Kashmir Reader on 24th of August Police Station Khrew received a written complaint from one person,Arshid Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Ahad Mir , resident of Khrew stating that during intervening night of 23 and 24 August some unknown Burglars stole his Truck bearing Registration number JK13-3822 which he parked near playground at Khrew loaded with 180 bags of TCI Max Cement.
“A case FIR number 61/2021under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Khrew and SHO Khrew Adil Ashraf asked to investigate the matter as soon as possible” he said, adding that during the course of investigation, Police Station Khrew recovered stolen Truck near Wuyan village of Pampore without cement bags. ” Few suspects were picked up for questioning who confessed their involvement in the commission of crime,” he said.
He further added that during confession they disclosed that the cement bags were loaded in another Truck bearing Registration number JK02U-3327 which was also seized on their confession.
Police identified the accused persons as Danish Shafi Shah son of Mohammad Shafi Shah, resident of New colony Khrew, Zaffar Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat Wuyan, Reyaz Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Subhan Bhat, Sikandar Ali son of Ali Mohammad Bhat, and Waseem Ishtiyaq son of Ishtiyaq Ahmad Ganaie, all the residents of Wuyan.
