Hajin: Basit Farooq from Hajin Bandipora has won the gold medal in the 11th district Taekwondo championship held at Doon international School HMT Srinagar.
Farooq defeated his opponent by a narrow margin and bagged gold medal for his academy.
While talking to Kashmir Reader, Farooq said that it is great achievement for him and I dedicated this gold medal to my coach Afreen Haider.
“I am very thankful to Almighty Allah for this win and also my parents who are supporting me equally, it is because of their constant support I have been able to achieve this feet,” he added.
21 year old further added that he has learnt a lot from her and she is guiding him in professional manner.
“It is because of her coaching I have achieved this feet and in future I will work hard to win more medals.”
