DC Kupwara inspects ongoing vaccination in various H&WC

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today visited various Health and Wellness Centres (H&WCs) of Handwara sub division to take stock of the on-going vaccination process.
During the visit, the DC inspected Health & Wellness Centre Vodhpora and was informed that 90 percent of the target population below 45 year of the area has been vaccinated. Further, he was informed that the breakthrough was achieved in the village by intensifying the door to door vaccination campaign.
Meanwhile, the DC appreciated the concerned Sarpanch, Nazir Ahmad Shah and staff of the Health Centre for achieving 90 percent vaccinations in the area. He said that examples of the Health Centre should be replicated in other areas of the district as well for achievement of the cent percent vaccination target.
The DC also inspected on-going vaccination processes at Health & Wellness Centres of Nutnussa and Chowgul. He stressed upon the doctors and staff of these Centres to intensify the efforts and also take PRIs and local administration on board for vaccination of cent percent target population. He directed them to follow the example of Health & Wellness Centre Vodhpora for achieving better results on ground.
On the occasion, team Information Department Kupwara appealed the people to follow COVID appropriate behaviour and other SOPs strictly to keep the pandemic at bay. People were also requested to ensure proper use of masks and maintain hand hygiene and social distance.
