DC B’gam holds Public darbar at Samarbugh

Face lifting of the area is on top priority

BUDGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today held a public interaction session at Samarbugh Lasjan to reach out the local populace at their door steps to take appraisal of their issues, grievances and demands.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that holding public interaction programmes enables administration to have an on spot status of developmental programmes besides other welfare initiatives, schemes run by various departments relating to all sectors.
On the occasion, the public put forth various demands relating to improvement of roads, drinking water supply, demolishing of illegally run industrial units particularly stone crushers, brick kilns in the area causing serious inconvenience due to uncontrolled pollution.
It was informed that despite Government efforts and public pressure the owners of such illegal units never comply with the instructions and parameters they need to adhere to in running their units.
Responding to the demands and other grievances, the DC assured that today’s visit by the District administration will have great impact and will be result oriented.
The DC directed all concerned officers and executing agencies to double their efforts in addressing the issues on war footing.
He assured the public that in order to rectify the errors, issues noticed in the earlier settlements conducted in the area will be resolved at an earliest, during next few days Revenue department and other allied agencies/ departments will sit together conduct a revenue camp in the area where all issues and complaints will be cleared in front of the complainants.
He further assured that there will be phase wise redressal of grievances issues/demands keeping in view circumstances, weather conditions and ensuing winter season.
The daylong public darbar besides witnessing huge gathering of locals and people from adjacent areas was also attended by SDM Chadoora, CMO, CEO, ACD, DDEO, CAO, CAHO and all Ex. Er’s concerned, Tehsildar, BDO and BMO B.K Pora.
